In these terms and conditions, “we” “us” and “our” refers to the owner of the website  Learntodriveacademy.com.au – ABN No. 92 436 647 845.

Please read the Terms and Conditions agreement carefully before accessing or using the information and services available through the Learntodriveacademy.com.au (“Site”). By using this website, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

If you do not agree to abide by these terms and conditions do not use this website.

CHANGES TO SERVICES AND PRICES

Prices for our lessons and packages  are subject to change without prior notice. We strive to ensure that our pricing remains competitive and reflective of the current economic environment.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are emailed to the buyer upon completion of purchase, gift vouchers are valid for three (3) years after the day of purchase.

PRE-PAID LESSON PACKAGES

Pre-paid driving lesson packages are only valid for twelve (12) months.

VEHICLE DAMAGES

When driving our vehicle for any reason and you fail to follow the directions provided by the instructor during the lesson,  you will be responsible for the lower of the cost of repairs relating to damage caused or the insurance excess applicable, should the vehicle be damaged for whatever reason. 

If you breach any road rules during the course of your lesson, you will be responsible for traffic infringement notices arising while driving our vehicle.

BOOKING DRIVING LESSONS

Any payments for driving lessons are paid in advance by credit card payment when booking online. 

When registering your first driving lesson with Learn to Drive Academy, you will be required to complete an online profile, including prior experience.

When you provide credit card information, you are agreeing, accepting or authorising the use of that credit card as a form of payment for any products or services

Lessons start at a pre-arranged pick-up destination unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed with the driving instructor.

CANCELLATIONS/ NO SHOWS OR AMENDMENTS

If you arrive late for a driving lesson for any reason, you will be allowed to use only the remaining time of your allocated lesson. You will be charged for the full lesson cost regardless of the remaining time used as instructors have other scheduled lessons with other students.

If you are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled driving lesson, we reserve the right to cancel that lesson. The full lesson fee will be charged.

If we are running late by more than 5 minutes because of traffic delays, we will contact you.

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your booking. This notice period allows us to manage our schedule, fill the vacant slot, and mitigate any potential losses from missed bookings.

If you decide to cancel your driving lesson within 24 hours, or simply are not available on the day of your lesson,  unfortunately, you are liable for the total cost of your lesson. This fee is equal to the total time that has been allocated for that lesson

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY LEARN TO DRIVE ACADEMY

We strive to starting and finishing your lessons on time and provide a seamless experience, respecting your schedule and ensuring you receive the full benefit of your lesson duration.

In the rare event that your driving instructor is running behind schedule, we will notify you as soon as possible. Communication is key, and we aim to keep you informed of any changes to your lesson timing.

Should your instructor arrive late to a lesson, your lesson will be extended to compensate for any lost time. If extending the lesson is not possible, we will add a time credit to your next driving lesson, ensuring you receive the full value of your scheduled time.

Learn to drive Academy reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change driving lesson lengths for any of the following circumstances

  • Driving instructor is sick
  • Dangerous weather conditions.
  • If the driving instructor suspects the student in under the influence of any substance. 
  • If the driving instructor suspects the student’s ability to drive is impaired for any reason
  • If the student does not follow the driving instructions directions or acts in an unsafe or dangerous manner.

·       For students attending driving lessons, it is essential to have your current driver's license with you at all times. This is not only a legal requirement but also an integral part of ensuring the safety and accountability of both the student and the driving instructor. The instructor will cancel your lesson if you do not have your drivers licence with you.

LESSONS FOR INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS

  • If you’re a permanent Australian resident, or hold a permanent visa, you can only drive in NSW on a current overseas licence for a maximum period of three months. Then you will need to apply for a NSW licence to continue driving.
  • If you do not hold permanent Australian residency, but will be in NSW for more than 3 months, you can apply for a Temporary Overseas Visitor licence
  • If you hold an overseas driver licence and will be a Temporary Overseas Visitor for a period that exceeds three (3) months, you must apply for a NSW driver licence if you intend on driving in NSW. In order to apply for a learners permit, you need to successfully complete the Driver Knowledge Test
  •  If you hold a licence issued by a country or jurisdiction that is NOT listed below, you will need to pass the Driver Knowledge Test and obtain a learners permit prior to booking a lesson. You do not need to pass the Driver Knowledge test if you hold a valid licence from a country listed below.

If you are unable to produce a learner licence or we are not satisfied your overseas licence is valid, or you can’t prove that you’re hold genuine visitor status to one of our instructors, we have the right to refuse or cancel a driving lesson at the commencement of the lesson.

PLEASE NOTE: Regardless if you have resided in New South Wales or another state or territory within Australia, if you entered the country outside of the 3 months and if you’re a permanent Australian resident, or hold a permanent visa under the Commonwealth Migration Act 1958, YOU REQUIRE A LEARNER LICENCE.

REFUND POLICY

We strive to provide suitable lesson times tailored to each individual's needs. Our scheduling system is designed to offer flexibility and accommodate your preferences as much as possible.

However, during peak seasons, such as Christmas and School Holidays, you may experience some delays in securing your desired lesson times due to increased demand.

If we are unable to meet your lesson time requirements within a reasonable timeframe, we offer a refund option. Any refunds do incur a $35 processing fee.

All lessons gifted from another person and non-refundable

All prepaid services and/or products are only valid for twelve (12) months

PHOTOS IN SOCIAL MEDIA

At Learn to Drive Academy, we love to celebrate the achievements of our students. Passing a driving test is a significant milestone, and we know how hard you've worked to get there. To commemorate this success, we often share photos of our students on our social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram

If you do not wish to have your photograph published by any means whatsoever, please advise your instructor.
